Online Marketing

It's more importnat than having a website. Many web developers often refer to this topic just as that, "more important than having a website!" Website marketing is the online promotion of your website, making it critical for you to place a lot of thought into this investment. Just like a business, what value is it to you unless people know about it.

Is It Really That Important?

Actually yes it is! Around 80% of all people looking for something online will use a search engine or online directory to find it and with billions of web pages on the Internet, it is critical to conduct a web marketing campaign to compete. By going ahead and putting just as much effort into the marketing as with the design it is actually possible to compete in your market, even with billions of web pages to compete with.

The Facts

Our organic listing service is one that works to naturally promote a website to top listings without paying for advertising. One thing we wish we could do is guarantee a #1 ranking with all the major search engines, however it is not possible to do so. The reason is search engine marketing (SEM) campaigns take months, even years to be successful. In addition to that search engines place website's ranked by computer programs, commonly referred to as "Spiders" or "Robots". So what becomes important is to design websites geared toward not only the visitors, but the spiders and robots. A brief search through search engine marketing journals will quickly make this clear, that designing a "search engine friendly" website is paramount. Not only that, but having legitimate websites linked to your site will also reap you many benefits in the rankings. These two elements in SEM are considered the building blocks towards having your website ranked well and is why FIS focuses so much on it during a campaign.

Five Step Process
4 Step Process to Website Marketing

We have analyzed the best way to promote your website and have broken it down to five steps. Since a majority of internet users use search engines as the method to find websites, our campaigns focus greatly on this.

  1. Planning & Research - Usually the most critical task in any process is the planning stage, this too is also the fact with SEM. It is in this stage that FIS analyzes your website to see how "search engine friendly" it is. It is also the stage where the website's current ranking is analyzed. Most importantly it is where "target" keywords are researched and chosen.
  2. Website Enhancement - After deciding what needs to be done, the new or existing website will be upgraded to being not only visitor friendly, but search engine friendly. The chosen keywords will be inserted into the website, meta-tags will be properly written, anchor tags will be properly coded, and other coding issues will be corrected or added.
  3. Link Building - The other important SEM task will be completed at this point. If possible links will be created to key legitimate websites that pertain to it. The website will be submitted to the critical directories such as the Open Directory Project (ODP). In addition all links will be analyzed to see if they are helping or bringing down the website in rank.
  4. Search Engine Submission - After the website is in good order and has gained in popularity, it is time to submit it to Search Engines. FIS will submit your website quarterly to the top search engines.
  5. Review - After all is said and done, FIS will analyze your website to make sure it is receiving the proper results. If there is still room for improvement, we will then change the campaign in an attempt to achieve the desired results.

The Other Method, Pay-Per-Click

When you need your website listed on the top of all the major search engines right now, Pay-Per-Google Sponsered LinkClick (PPC) is the way to go. Although this program does not get you listed as #1 in the organic listings, the normal search engine listings, it does place your website in the sponsored links area of the search engine. This is the area usually located on the top, bottom, and sides of the search engine; or around the organic listings. PPC is the perfect way to get placed on the first page of search engines, without the wait of a SEM campaign. It is the perfect short-term tool to get your site listed until it starts to get placed well in the organic listings.

How It Works

Just as in organic marketing, key pharses are choosen to base your campaign towards. Next you "bid" a fee for each time someone clicks through to your site. The higher the bid, the higher your link is placed in the sponsored links. Then whenever sometime targets that keyword in the search engine, your website is displayed in the sponsored results. Better yet, you only pay a fee each time someone clicks through to your site! A great way to get first page results instatntly.

Our Pay Per Click Services

At FIS, we use the three most popular Pay-Per-Click services in our campaigns. All together will get you first page results in all of the top search engines and on Facebook. You will have the oppurtunity to get listed in Google, Yahoo!, AOL, AskJeeves, MSN, Lycos, AltaVista, CNet.com, and many more!
