Modifications of SPAM Filters

The largest issue and complaint with hosting services is usually issues related to SPAM being received. As a result, we have made this one of our largest priorities with our hosting service so we can continue to be a service oriented provider. At FIS, we want to make sure our clients our always satisfied with our services. That is why we have launched a campaign to reduce SPAM received by our clients inboxes.

For the past 3 months, we have been testing various configurations in order to filter out SPAM without generating false positives as much as possible. For the past month we have tested the new configuration in which we will be rolling out as of today. The new configuration, will discard messages that are highly likely to be considered SPAM. In addition it will mark all messages that are likely to be SPAM as "POTENTIAL SPAM" and still send you the message.

The configuration has been tested by us with excellent results. We have received minimal, if any SPAM. As of today, all accounts will be implemented with this new configuration. If you would like this configuration disabled because you would rather use your own SPAM filtering, please Contact Us and we will disable the filter.

Upgrade of Hosting Packages to Double Capacity

With ever increasing demand on web server capability, we have decided to double the size of all of our shared server web hosting plans. The FIS You Pick It! line of shared servers is based on offering small businesses as well as organizations the services they need as well as the bandwidth and disk space that they will need. Based on these principals, the service packages are constantly being upgraded with new services. Most recently the doubling of bandwidth and disk space.

The base package has been increased from 100 megabytes of disk space to 200 and its bandwidth has been upgraded from 1 gigabyte to 2 gigabytes of transfer. The flagship package of 500 megabytes of disk space has received a large upgrade to 1 gigabyte of disk space, backed by an increase in bandwidth from 5 gigabytes to 10.
